This book is a great refresher. It is easy to read and works examples in a logical step-by-step fashion that non-accountants/non-accounting-majors may need. This book makes a great supplement to formal accounting training (introductory accounting coursework). It would also be very helpful for someone who needs an accounting refresher (like business education majors who plan to take the Praxis II). Check out the table of content to determine if it meets your needs.

Handy little book. Have a 2-inch thick accounting text and use this Schaum's paperback to make sense of it all. If you are taking Principles of Accounting or Financial Accounting or Accounting 101, this book is perfect for you. I am not the brightest lad and this book helps me to "get it." Inexpensive and succinct. Ah, if only I could find a woman like that!

I purchased this book because I just started a new job with a local county. Governmental accounting is very different from public accounting and I needed the additional information. It is a text book and does what text books do; teach you.
