Few Examples and hard to understand without a teacher., April 28, 2012
This book had a lot of information and little help inside the book. The examples were hard to understand without a teacher. If you are going to use this book, wish for a teacher that will provide you with more examples. Most of the problems at the end of the chapter were trick questions. There were few beginner questions to help you get practice.
Most of the rules and equations in the book were unclear. I found myself wonder what were the most important facts and figure for problems. Equations were done in the reading and in word form. This meant it was hard to set up problems without the seeing it in a picture or example form.
I found reading IRS.org a better help with studying for test. To answer questions, IRS.org explained things clearer and more directly than this book's own reading. I wonder if this book was written for people who already knew about the rules and processes of Payroll Accounting.

This review is from: Payroll Accounting 2012 (with Computerized Payroll Accounting Software 2012) (Paperback)
I was not so happy with this item, the book itself was ok. Some markings inside, which the person should have stated. I had to pay an extra 3 to purchase the online code, I was not expecting that at all!!!! what a bummer.

Extremely well organized. Very logical, easy to follow. The problems (and solutions) were well thought out. I am a "working professional" MBA student so appreciated the format- it made very efficient use of what little studying time I have!

Course Overview: Fundamental Managerial Accounting Concepts 6th edition is intended for the managerial accounting course taken primarily by sophomores at both two and four year schools. Adopters of Edmonds’ Fundamental Financial Accounting Conce The above is the description for Fundamental Managerial Accounting Concepts
I found the book to be attractively put together and full of examples. They address both manufacturing and non-manufacturing environments - including service industries. Managerial Accounting is a vital tool for businesses as it provides techniques for making better business decisions based on data instead of "hunches". Nonetheless, the material can be difficult to get through. The authors understand this and use real-life examples to help give insight as to the way businesses use these analysis techniques. Because the material can be challenging, I can understand some people finding the material boring. However, given the type of material, I feel the authors have done a commendable job in communicating the material in an appealing way.

Having previously read "Fundamental Financial Accounting Concepts" by the same people, this book was a disappointment. It came off as incredibly dry, and was not all that clear in its presentation of the concepts. The "Fundamental Financial Accounting" volume is great, but I'd recommend another author for the managerial book.
