How to cope with Stress in Nigeria

Stress in Nigeria is quite inevitable. Each day Nigerians are faced with different kinds of stress ranging from traffic jam, Power Failure, and other Nigeria Factors.

Whether you work in a high-stress job like the Nigeria banking industry or struggling to get a Job in the jobless Nigeria Country, or have endured a traumatic event that has heightened your stress levels, learning to cope with stress is the only way to manage it here in Nigeria. Because while stress may not go away completely, it is possible to reduce it in so you can enjoy your life.

Below are some tips I prepare for my Nigeria brothers and sisters on how to cope with stress

When you feel stressed, try to take a long and deep breath. It will help you a lot in coping with stress at any particular moment.

Take regular breaks from your work. No matter how tedious your work may be, always try and take a break. It does help.

Get regular exercise. This days, most Nigerians hunt for money on a 24hr basis to the detriment of their health. This is not good. Try to make out time for exercise. It is very important for maintenance of good health.

Eat a balanced diet. I know the Nigeria Economy is very bad. Try to eat balanced diet.

Do not depend upon drugs and alcohol to help you relax. This is bad stress management technique.

Good time management and organization skills is also very important in stress management.

Be an Optimistic Person. Find the positive in every situation. View adversity as an opportunity for learning and growth.

If a relationship makes you stressed, end it if possible.

Always Smile. Smile makes one feels better.

For people like me who always use computer and depends on Power for work, the stress of power failure can be unbearable. Try to get a UPS and a standby generator.
