No Code Included, September 3, 2012

The Kindle Fire version of this textbook is generally easy to use and I am mostly happy with it. It is so much handier to have an EBook version than lugging around a bulky print book that it makes up for the few faults I have encountered. I wish it came with standard Kindle functionality but this is not the case. I have vision problems so the ability to re-size the font would be nice. You can expand/contract the image size with finger pinching movements but have to do so on each page, and having to scroll around the expanded page in order to see all of the text gets a bit old. On the plus side, you can make notes and bookmarks, and the text is searchable. I expect that if Amazon could have included Kindle functions, they would have.

I have one complaint that Amazon CAN address. The product description does not make it clear that a WileyPlus access code is NOT included in the price. If you are taking an on-line class this code will have to be purchased separately. For price shoppers out there, this is critical information and should be included in the description. This is true of any text book which would normally have an access code, not just this particular book.

Just like the more expensive edition, December 17, 2012

Exact same content as the hardcover version. Really glad I made the choice to buy this one. It is softcover, but less than half the price, and has all of the same practice problems and review questions as well.

I purchased this book new thinking that an access code came with it,but to my dismay there was no access code.Amazon needs to make this clear that with the purchase of a NEW book there is no access code attached.I also did not receive a receipt with my order.I am very disappointed with this purchase.I will be returning it.

Having taken Managerial Accounting before, I find this book to be very detailed with explainations, but lack examples. It is a good book to use in class when the teacher does give some examples. But as an online student, I am navigating blind.

Too many mistakes on this edition, November 1, 2008

This review is from: Cost Accounting: Foundations and Evolutions, 7th Edition (Hardcover)

If the course material alone weren't challenging enough for students, try doing it with this edition and all the errors in it. I have never taken a class that was interrupted on so many occassions in trying to find out where the authors' calculations were coming from. On every single chapter, whether in the chapter content itself or on the exercises and solutions there were more than several mistakes. Very poorly edited especially since these are all math problems that can be easily checked and really no excuse for a college textbook. Thanks Mr. Kinney for confusing the heck out of me.

Not a great textbook, November 17, 2009

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: Cost Accounting: Foundations and Evolutions, 7th Edition (Hardcover)

I purchased this textbook because it is the required text for my Cost Accounting course. I don't like it at all. It is not user friendly and does not have good examples to help with the exercises. Wish the school would use another text!
