Question by : How many scientists are there in the world?
Real scientists. Not pseudoscientists. And even excluding those who expound alternative theories to be true. So how many are hardcore one?
Just wanted to know how many are the responsible brains who run the world on real lines.

Easily millions. But I don't know of any official counts. You can find out how many people belong to various official organizations - for example, there are about 7,000 members of the American Astronomical Society, which includes most of the professional astronomers in the world (not just the US).
