this is a stupid question

it is based on major and if you are in a major where many people decide not to go, you will get in, if you are in one where many people decide to go you are out of luck

they rank the wait list, then when they need 3 engineering majors they take the highest 6 engineering majors and then pick 3 to accept and 3 to put back on the list, then say 1 of those 3 decide not to come then they pick another

you could have 45 engineering majors come off the wait list and no math majors come of the wait list

your question is a poor question, if you wanted to go there you should have done better in school, talked to the admission people more
