How many are in this series, what are their order, and are there going to be more? Do you recommend this series? If so, why?

Here are the books in order of their publication:
Weetzie Bat (1989)
Witch Baby (1991)
Cherokee Bat and the Goat Guys (1992)
Missing Angel Juan (1993)
Baby Be-Bop (1995)
Necklace of Kisses (2005)
By the way, "Necklace of Kisses" is pretty interesting because you get the chance to see Weetzie almost middle-aged, with her daughters grown and away from home. She has sort of a mid-life crisis and isn't sure whether or not she wants to be with her Secret Agent Lover Man anymore, so she runs off to stay in a hotel where she meets a lot of interesting people. Cherokee and Witch Baby make small appearances in the book but it's mostly all about Weetzie, so that's nice. :-)
I usually recommend this series to people that are maybe not as much into reading as I am. I find that the fanciful style of writing really pulls some people into reading more, especially girls. Perhaps boys might not be so into the books, I'm not sure. I'm also not sure if there are going to be any more Weetzie books but I hope so, I'd love to see Weetzie as a grandmother. :-)
