Question by theguyman: How to decrease video game lag on computers?
for games like minecraft, possibly evern world of warcraft.
I have a laptop so what kind of hardware should i buy in order to get the lag down to zero and increase my fps?
im not talking about specific brands, i just need to know which components i would need to upgrade in order to play games without lag?

I have a HP pavilion dv3 laptop. got it about two years ago. unning Windows Vista 64-bit

Not much info, but either a better processor, a new vid card, or more ram, minecraft loves a lot of ram.

I am looking to buy i3 or i5 or i7 intel computer. I want to know what is the minimum I need to have to play First Person shooter and racing games? What type of video card? I don't want to spend too much money.

i7 PCU (any speed really)
2GB ram (preferably 4+)
1GB video memory
500+GB Hard drive

beyond that, anything will work really. If you are assembling it yourself, make sure the parts are compatible with each other (intel chip with intel motherboard, PCIe X16 video card with a motherboard that has PCIe x16 slots, etc). If you are going with dell or hp, anything will work with the basic parameters listed above.

How do I install a video card that I buy? I am buying a new computer from dell with either a Core 2 Duo or Dual Core. Does installation depend on the motherboard? Please help, I don't understand how to build it :P

Building a PC and buying from Dell are two different things.

If you buy from Dell, it will come to you already built. I'd personally get the GTS 250 over the ATI HD cards..

And yes, the video card is dependant one what motherboard you have...since different motherboards have different video card slots..Although any new motherboard for a core2duo will have a PCI-E slot that will fit any PCI-E video card. If you plan to use 2 or more video cards you need to buy a motherboard that supports either nvidia's SLI or ATI's Crossfire.
